I recently discovered this fantastic tool from North Dakota State University which creates a ‘family tree’ of mathematicians going back several hundreds of years. The ‘generations’ are created by linking to your PhD supervisor.
I’ve created a graphic of my tree below and included links to biographies for all of the mathematicians mentioned. (There would be many more on the tree if I included all students of each supervisor, but then the tree would be pretty much unreadable.)
